Experience Summary
I developed an interest in working with children at an early age while helping my mother, who is an elementary school teacher. After finishing High School I continued on to college and earned a degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University. I then moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin, where I taught both kindergarten and second grade. I have also worked in Minnesota for School District 194 as both an elementary summer school teacher and as a paraprofessional in a middle school Autism Program. I have tutored both elementary and middle school students in all subject areas as well as taught life skills; organization and time-management techniques. I am especially trained and qualified to teach reading and writing at the elementary school level, but have taught all subjects.
Teaching Style
I really enjoy working with children and am grateful to be able to make a difference in their lives. I believe that all children can learn with the the right academic tools and the right tutor. I am patient with students and have a very easy going personality. I believe that children should work hard and be proud of their achievements and I am available to help students so that they can achieve their goals.
