Experience Summary
My professional experience includes teaching remedial reading, private tutoring of elementary level students, volunteering as an adult literacy tutor, and teaching English as a second language. I also home schooled my three children, teaching each to read when they could not learn in school. My children are all now in college, the eldest studying for his Master's at Boston University. I believe I can teach anyone of any age to read and write effectively.
Teaching Style
As a highly intuitive and flexible instructor who recognizes that we all learn in different ways, I adjust my methodology to the individual student. No one approach works for everyone, so I pay attention to what is effective for each person and tailor my instruction to those needs.
