Experience Summary
I began teaching by volunteering in the public school and subsequently was employed as a second grade teacher assistant for a master teacher. After nearly seven years, the opportunity to complete a Master's degree in elementary education became a reality for me. With my experience as an assistant, long term substitute teacher, and professional development, I also received certification in Special Education-moderate needs K-8. My employment consists mostly of long term substitute teaching positions in the public schools. During the last two years, I have tutored for Club Z! In Home Tutoring, a company receiving grant money for public schools to meet the standards for the NCLB law.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with all children. I am a compassionate and enthusiastic teacher who likes to insure a comprehensive education for the student. I am a teacher who knows her students, curriculum, methods of multi-modal instruction, and state standards. I enjoy the challenge to develop differentiated instruction in order to meet the needs of the student.
I am familiar with writing and implementing the IEP, curriculum models and am able to enhance them with additional learning experiences for students.
