Experience Summary
Still fresh out of college I have been looking for an area to exercise my expertise in writing and my knowledge of literature. Although I have no formal experience in a teaching position I do believe an opportunity in tudoring would be great experience for me and beneficial to those I can help. And I cannot say I have official experience tudoring students I aided many of my friends and acquaintances fulfil their english requirements throughout highschool and college both in interpreting literature and help with writing form and style.
Teaching Style
Whenever I have been recruited to help someone in the past I have been a firm beleiver in less is more. Though it is important for the person to understand what he/she is reading or writing it is important to shadow their work instead of smothering them. I always feel for both myself and others that learning comes from doing and trying by ones self, and asking for help only when needed. Of course this style is useless if the explanations and guidance that go with it are not clear and fascilitate the process for the student.
