Experience Summary
While I was an undergrad I tutored one student from Mexico and asisted her with her papers she had to write to ensure proper use of the English language. Then I tutored another student who was a year behind me in the nursing program. I have earned a BSN in Nursing and a MN in Adult Psychosocial Nursing. Over the years I have informally assisted my sisters with their homework and my niece with exploring ideas and concepts so she could settle on the best one for her and the assignment she needed to complete.
Teaching Style
My style is to focus on a person's strengths and to build from there. I prefer to ask questions to get the individual to do their own thinking instead of giving them "canned" responses. I am fairly patient and easygoing but set firm limits that I expect to be respected. I believe everyone is capable of achieving their highest potential if they are given the right tools and encouragement.
