Experience Summary
I would like to use my education and talents to tutor students. I earned two degrees, one in biology and the other in health science. I am very knowledgable in biology, general sciences, anatomy and physiology, as well as chemistry and math. Irecently substitute taught all grade levels (pre-K to 12 grade). I understand the curriculum and what is expected of the students. I also taught in an alternative classroom setting at Clemson Youth Learning Institute and understand there are many ways of learning.
Teaching Style
Everyone learns differently. I think by involving as many of your senses you are able to learn and retain information better. Teaching information and giving examples that are relavent to the student's life and experiences help teach the student that learning is important.The advances in technology and utilizing these resources are very important. Computer animation and pictures are amazing tools for any student, especially students that learn visually. The education system is going in the right direction by thinking outside the box. They are using every resource available to enpower students.
