Experience Summary
Teaching English has been a dream of mine for quite sometime. It's actually what I'm currently going to school for. Regarding past experience, I was the grant writer for Riverside Health System, to which I was able to successfully bring in over $600,000 in grant funding/rfps. At ODU as an undergraduate, I was one of 6 students selected to teach a for-credit academic course which I -like normal professors/teachers do- had to prepare course work, lesson plans, and instruct college students on Psychology 101. I plan to finish grad school by 2010.
Teaching Style
I'm very passionate about what I do. I've always had a tremedous success in getting individuals interested in an idea/topic by getting them enthusiastic about learning. It's very contagious. I'm very assertive, and challenge everyone in my audience to be just as bold and to question things when appropriate. I'm pretty sharp with my words and intellect, which is a must when dealing with crowds.
