Experience Summary
A part of my undergrad included an internship that I completed overseas at an international school. This has inspired my love for English Language Learners and helping them to succeed in school. I currently hold a BA in Elementary Education and am in the process of obtaining my MEd in ESL. My graduate program has challenged me as a teacher to strive for excellence in all my students, as well as in my own teaching practices. Over the past five years I have tutored students in Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, and English.
Teaching Style
I have been working with children for over ten years. My teaching style combines creativity, positivity, and flexibility. I believe that students learn in many ways; some learn by listening, some by looking, and some by doing. In my classroom I incorporate all these learning styles so that I can meet the needs of my diverse classroom. It is my philosophy that all students can succeed if given the chance.
