Experience Summary
Being a meticulous student at Colorado State University, I excelled in academics. During my nine semesters, I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language, Literature, and Culture with a concentration in French, as well as Political Science. Helping others excel in these areas not only benefited the students but me as well, as it furthered my understanding of the material. As a student of languages, mainly French but also years of Spanish, I have become very educated in grammar especially, and have very much enjoyed proof-reading and editing research papers. Throughout my last three years at the university I have enjoyed offering my skills to students in French, English, and Political Science.
Teaching Style
As the oldest of seven children, I am very comfortable working with children and enjoy it very much. My favorite teacher was in third grade, and he made such an impression on me that fifteen years later I am still reminded of him and his unique teaching style. To me, every child is unique and learns better in a different way than others might. Having a wide range of teaching methods is important, as well as being patient, empathetic, and innovative to help someone learn in a way that is interesting and stimulating. Every person, child or adult, can reach their academic potential with the right guidance, and I thrive on that interaction.
