Experience Summary
With my Associates degree, I spent over 12 years working in the accounting field. I developed many accounting skills and talents for which I was not fully recognized. One of the main reasons for this was because I didn’t have a Bachelor’s degree. I resolved this deficiency by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix in 2002 while maintaining a full time job and a 3.79 GPA. Many of my past professors and employers have commented positively on my accounting abilities. One professor told me I had the heart of an accountant, another said that I had a natural ability for accounting. A former employer told me I was the best accountant he had ever had. I now have over two years of work experience with my 4 year degree. Due to my accounting abilities in College I had several students ask me to tutor them which I did and enjoyed immensely.
Teaching Style
My approach is to first determine how much the student understands on there own. Then I attempt to suppliment their knowledge with my own. I attempt to do this in a patient and caring manner.
