Experience Summary
As a Chemical Engineer I have a diverse set of skills upon which to draw upon for a variety of subjects. As a substitute teacher, I have been called upon to engage students on a one-on-one basis in the classroom at both the middle and high school level. I know first hand that most students just need a little more coaching outside the classroom to raise their level of excellence. I college I tutored my fraternal brothers in chemistry, free of charge. Science and math would be my preferred courses. As a Quality Engineer I tutored and trained my auditors in the audit fundamentals for over a decade.
Teaching Style
I am also a poet and an inspirational and motivational speaker. I have written poems for my coworkers for twenty years at my employer. I would say that my style of teaching is creative. I stress the fundamentals, making sure of the foundation, but remain creative in the approach that reaches the student. For example, I made music videos to explain International Standards Organization 9001 principles for my audit students. My techniques have been very well received! Learning is fun! I make it so!
