Experience Summary
As a second year teacher, I have much experience working with children of various ages. I have taught Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, and I am currently teaching First Grade. I also have had the opportunity to work with students (elementary & secondary) with special needs during my college breaks. Working a wide range of ages of children has helped me to understand their capabilities at a specific age.
Teaching Style
I have always treasured working with children. I found my interest when I started babysitting at age 11. I quickly found that my time spent having fun and entertaining children was something I truly enjoyed. As a educator, I understand that all students learn differently. I work at getting to know all my students on a individual level. This helps to keep student’s interests in mind and incorporate it into what we are currently learning. Paying attention to all learning styles in the classroom helps me to see what some students learn easy and also what some students have difficulty learning. By doing so I am able to meet with students and work on their area of difficulty and try to help them understand the information in the way that is best possible for them to learn.
