Experience Summary
I have always been fascinated with language and how it is used. I dedicated myself to learning the details of the English language. I have extensive experience teaching all ages and all levels and students from all over the world from many varied cultures. I myself am a first generation American so I can relate to the difficulties of not only learning a foreign language but a foreign culture as well for the two cannot be separated from each other. I have been a language student, a language teacher and also a director of a language school. I also have a formal education and training in languages and teaching them. Also, I have a genuine interest in other cultures and languages as well.
Teaching Style
I believe that to be a great teacher you can never have just one style or method because we all assimilate knowledge in different ways. However, my teaching philosophy is to teach so students learn but also have fun. My mission or goal as a teacher is to provide students with the knowledge, ability and confidence to apply language and culture in everyday situations and to instill a desire of self-learning and personal motivation. This can only be achieved through providing the very best and appropriate lessons through a collaborative effort of teacher and student. A combination of in-room instruction combined with specialized activities and topics will create a more fruitful learning environment. I genuinely love to teach and I always strive to give my absolute best to students. I am patient, caring, honest and I am able to adapt my teaching style to the student.
