Experience Summary
I obtained my licensure through NCTEACH in Specific Learning Disabilities. I am Highly Qualified by way of Praxis exam. I have taught grades 6-12 in almost all disability identifications primarily math and language arts; however, have supported various other subject areas.
Teaching Style
I believe that all students, regardless of gender, socioeconomic environment or ability, can learn and should be challenged with creative and applicable opportunities to achieve their best. Understanding that not all individuals learn in the same way, at the same rate or retention level, my responsibility as an educator is to create a safe learning environment that facilitates academic, social, and emotional growth that is developmentally appropriate. This enables those students entrusted to me to become active and contributing members of the community and encourages life-long learning.
