Experience Summary
My teaching career began in Australia in 1974. I taught in a private school for four years. After returning to Oregon, I attendd the univeersity earning my bachelors and teacher's certification.My teaching assignments included middle school social studies- world history, American history, geography, and language arts. My high school assignments include world history, American history, and geography. I am skilled in teaching study skills.
Teaching Style
My teaching style adapts itself to student needs. I like to balance the affective and the cognitive domains. I organize the lesson teaching general overview and vocabulary first then move to specifics and personal applications that can be framed creatively. I teach with a commitment to the subject and the belief that the student deserves my best effort.
