Experience Summary
I began my education in a parochial school, attaining honors status for the last 6 years. I attended Lincoln Park High for 4 years, then attended Lawrence Institute of technology in Southfield, Mi for 4 years, having been on the honor roll for 3 straight years, finally attaining a 3.42 G.P.A., 3.75 in math, and given a B.S. in Math with a minor in chem and physics in 1973. I went on to the University of Mich.taking grad courses, finally after one year receiving three offers for grad assistantships at M.S.U., Purdue, and Wayne State. I took the grad assistant offer at M.S.U. and tutored in pre-calc for two years, coming one credit short of my Masters degree, for fear I would be overqualified. I haven't worked in the math field since, pursuing other interests, but I HAVE MAINTAINED AN INTEREST IN THE FIELD NONRTHELESS. I really enjoyed tutoring the kids, and that is one this I would like to still do.
Teaching Style
I love working with children. I enjoy the challenge, for it puts me on my toes with the grasp of my material. Being a man, I feel that there is a need for me in the field of tutoring math and all the kids I was associated with seemed to understand the material presented, although it was different for each as far as when it was understood. I am good at it, having approx. 25 students present at each tutoring session, giving attention to each one.
