Experience Summary
After receiving my BS in Chemistry I obtained an analytical position with Pfizer Global Research & Development. For six years I worked in many different aspects of synthetic chemistry whether it was purification, IT infrastructure, or bench top wet chemistry. I also worked in the area of peptide chemistry performing automated synthesis. Over the last year I have tutored both adults and high school students in the areas of mathematics and science.
Teaching Style
My teaching is simple, every person can learn math and science. I believe that with hands-on learning to support the lessons taught each student can achieve success. I like using my experience in industry to give real world examples of how math and science is applied to everyday life. To often children are intimidated by math and science because of past perceptions, but I believe that if you teach a child how to learn and study anything can be accomplished.
