Experience Summary
I was a student studying in Chinese Philosophy at the University in China. I taught many of my peers what the philosophy was and how to translate the meaning. Later, I worked as the Radio News Broadcaster for 1989-1999. I learned to investigate, write and report the news. I've won many journalistic awards for my reportings as well as documentaries. My journalism skills helped me to bring my skills to teaching Chinese School today in America. I have taught Elementary Chinese school for over a year now.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching the kids very much. My teaching style is to have the kids interact with the curriculum as much as possible. They would use sight, sound, body motions to learn each word. I also believe in creativity. Being creative while teaching is important because it keeps the kids attention and help them to retain the information. I do not teach in large volumes of information but parts of it until the child understands it and remembers it well.
