Experience Summary
Ever since I was in sixth grade, I have had opportunities to help children learn and see the benefits first hand from what I taught them. When I graduated from high school, I followed a different career path, but after a terrible car accident that left me unable to fly airplanes, I made a decision to go back to school and follow my love for teaching children. When I graduated from University of Central Florida at age 31 I was blessed to learn I was going to have my first child. I decided it was not the right time for me to teach full time, so I substituted in Brevard County schools, tutored many children, and raised 3 boys of my own. I know that I bring life skills, patience, and love along with my teaching credentials to help any child that may need me.
Teaching Style
I do not have a particular teaching style. I am trained to teach different styles, but it is my goal to get to know every child as an individual and figure out the best way for that child to learn. I also realize one type of style may not be the best for every subject matter. After having 3 children of my own, I can say without a doubt that every child is different and what may work for one will not work for the other. Unfortunately, teachers today have class sizes that are to big to take the needed time to work with students individually and learn what each student in their class needs as individuals.
