Experience Summary
I began teaching long before I received my teaching degree. I have a B.S. in Social and Behavioral Science from USF; A.A Degree from St. Pete College. As a parent of a child with a disability I had to help my child which turned into a love for helping other children. I am certified in Reading k-12, EH K-12, VE K-12. I gained all these certification in order to expand my availability to others. I have mostly tutored students in reading comprehension and with test taking skills.
Teaching Style
I truly enjoy working with all students. As you can see with my previous experience I don't give up on students. I believe that all students can learn however, they may learn differently. Through the use of brain inventories, I have helped students discovery the best way for them to learn. In my research I discovered that people learn through visual, auditory or kinesthetic. As a result I usually include activities in my lessons that cover the different learning styles.
