Experience Summary
As a graduate form a university within a large diverse area of New York City, I have the ability and skills to enhance a student’s education through commitment and excellence. My experience in teaching children of multiple intelligences has enabled me aid children in developing strong reading and test taking skills. During the last three years I have tutored students in reading, developing writing skills and working with children in mental health as a counselor. I enjoy working with children and watching them glow once they have gained the understanding to achieve their goal.
Teaching Style
I do feel with all my heart that all children can learn as we can and do learn from them. As stated earlier children have multiple intelligences and therefore require multiple teaching styles. I believe in teaching through discovery and in many settings a hands-on approach. I believe all children when provided the opportunity to explore and have different worlds shown to them they too have the potential to achieve academic success. I feel there are educators that can truly make a difference in a child's education and I feel that I am one of them. In summary, because we all learn in different ways I feel multiple teaching styles are necessary for our children of today.
