Experience Summary
I have taught exceptional education in the state of Tennessee for the past three and years. My previous experiences also include 3 years teaching in a preschool through pre K setting. I meet all three standards for highly qualified in Special Education and Elementary K-6. My bachelor degree dual major is early childhood education and family studies. My job experience include: foster care, therapeutic treatment, special education and early childhood. I am honored to have the opportunity to teach children with a wide range of diagnosis (autism, developmental delayed and mental retardation). I love being able to help others gain the knowledge and skills needed to become productive citizens and live independently. My passion to teach and encourage others inspired me to attend the Gear Up Conference this spring. Through my participation I gained the knowledge to request grant assistance and funding needed to students to earn a higher education. I would like to continue educating parents, teachers, and students while continuing to grow professionally in new strategic methods.
Teaching Style
I am a strong believer in family support and "everyone has the ability to learn". One of the essential elements for an effective education background is not just the expertise of the educator, but the devoted involvement of the student and family. My mission is to discovery the "I can factor" in every human being. Once a person has gained the confidence to make attempts and overcome challenges you have created a true learner. I will teach individuals how to modify and adapt in various learning situation in order to achieve success. This will help students gain confidence to try challenging academia. Everyone has the ability to learn!
