Experience Summary
Recently, I received my BS in Mathematics and BA in Physics, with honors. I am taking time off before entering graduate school and this position will surely be a fulfilling experience in the mean time. You will notice that I have been a tutor most of my college life; tutoring was my most fulfilling and enjoyable part- time job. I have tutored several Mathematics courses, including Geometry, Algebra, and Calculus since my sophomore year, both one-on-one and in groups with up to 20 students of all levels. I completed over 120 contact hours my last semester alone.
Teaching Style
I have a passion for making students of different age groups grasp concepts of Mathematics in their own way. After evaluating the way the student understands different concepts, I will strive to make them understand the problems completely. The student and I will discuss what his/her difficulties are and we will work on them together; going through the basics and the important concepts. The primary goal of a tutoring session would be that the student would learn to learn by his or herself and not be solely dependent on the tutor. I LOVE Math and my passion for it is contagious! The student will leave the session confident ad happy :)
