Experience Summary
I have been teaching in PINELLAS COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT and as a teacher for "youth at risk' partnership school too.I have always loved children and feel that although I was not an Ed. major I can apply my B.A. in Theatre and Communications in field/out of field.I hope that I can continue to study and develop in Elementry/Middle school.
I taught as an hourly teacher in Reading Title 1 and as an intervention teacher .Most of the work involved working with youth at risk/intervention for student's with learning disabilities,family and neglect issues etc.,etc.I felt that the work was challenging and
effective.I enjoyed seeing at risk students and helping them to discover their potential.
Teaching Style
I enjoy teaching and assisting students to find a better understanding with academics.I believe that all students can accomplish more when they get the studying skills and support that they need.I appreciate their interrests,their uniique life observations and feel that they can become a strong voice in our society.I know that educators can get frustrated with the work load and the quality of their schools yet,I believe that creativity along with academics can make the difference.
