Experience Summary
I have a Masters in Architecture that I earned from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Immediately following graduate school, I worked as a teaching assistant at Parsons for incoming graduate students. This position included one on one daily sessions with 12 students, working through their ideas and helping them figure out the best way to communicate those ideas. This job gave me experience in finding a specific way to relate to each student and well as helping them uncover their greatest strengths.
Very recently, I served as a jury member for the University of Memphis architecture students reviewing projects and helping students find ways of improving their work.
Teaching Style
I like to encourage students to discover their own potential in ways they did not expect. I enjoy finding each person's strengths and passions and highlighting them, thus motivating them to work harder.
I think all teaching and learning should be approached with some level of humor. The more fun learning is, the more effective. Most of my own excitement comes from seeing a students excitement.
