Experience Summary
I am a licensed Physics and Chemistry teacher with a Masters degree in Instructional Design with an emphasis in Technology. I am relocating back to Cincinnati and am looking for a position that will utilize my experiences and technology skills. I have 13 years of teaching experience in a broad range of academic environments from disadvantaged to accelerated. My experiences have given me the ability to adapt to a variety of situations.
I have been an academic team advisor, assistant marching band director and computer club advisor. I have received several awards as a teacher, many of which were student nominated. I continue to play trumpet in a variety of venues such as church and community theater.
My corporate experience as a project manager and technical liaison has taught me to communicate effectively with numerous types of people including parents, other teachers, subordinates and superiors.

Teaching Style
My teaching philosophy incorporates 3 concepts. My teaching is student centered, success focused and goal oriented. This means that instruction is given taking into account the student's experiences. Success focused means that the level of material is appropriate to the student creating pooportunities for the student to be successful and then allowing the teacher to build on those successes. Goal oriented means that each activity and lesson has specific learning outcomes.
