Experience Summary
I have been working with children for several years. As an Elementary Education major I want to continue to help children strive in their studies. I am currently a junior at Nova Southeastern University and have completed several education classes along with ESOL classes. I have also completed over thirty hours of clinical experience in several classrooms. I have extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers, lab reports, and other presentations necessary for college and the work place. I have tutored students in English, Science, Math, Reading, the Arts and FCAT prep.
Teaching Style
I love teaching and working with children of all levels. All children learn differently. Some need more visual some more oral instruction to understand the concepts being taught. My goal as a tutor and a teacher has always been to help the child discover what works best for them and use that to improve their scholastic experience. I am patient and consistent with this process because I know it will take time to help a frustrated child grasp the concept that they can do well in all subjects and meet their goals. I also like to keep the parents well informed of progress and what they can do to help the student succeed. I strive to use this to make a difference in my students and parents lives.
