Experience Summary
I started tutoring in high school and was able to tutor in all subject areas. Once I was in college and was pursuing a degree in History, I became especially suited to students who need help in areas such as Social Studies, Geography, and English.
Since college, my focus has primarily been elementary school students. I still, however, tutor high school level Social Studies and English (including AP). I can also provide test prep assistance in all areas and subject specific assistance in the verbal and writing portions of the SAT and ACT.
Teaching Style
I enjoy helping others. Tutoring is a special way of helping someone in that you not only provide help with their current classwork but, you provide them with a lifelong skill. It is especially important to impart a lifelong love of learning to each child so that they are always looking to improve themselves and are capable of adapting to whatever life sends their way. When I tutor, it is my goal to impart this lesson to each child I encounter.
