Experience Summary
I have been working with Elementary age children since High School as a coach, mentor, babysitter, and volunteer. I have served as an after-school director as well as a small group tutor in a half way house for abused women. I currently teach 5th grade Special Education in a collaborative setting. I have taught all subjects, and am very comfortable with each subject. I have worked with the Wilson Reading program to help my students who have severe decoding deficits.
Teaching Style
I've realized over the last four years that students want to learn and do well. I enjoy watching students when they grasp onto a concept they originally thought was too difficult. Not one method works for every student, so it takes dedication, patience, persistence and love to find each student's learning style. I believe I possess all of the aforementioned qualifications. I completely enjoy what I do!
