Experience Summary
I have much experience in tutoring and teaching. I have tutored right from the time I was in college, and taught in the past and present. I have held other jobs, but have always been drawn to teaching like a magnet. I do believe teaching is my forte! My diverse cultural back ground, travels, and experiences, have contributed to an interesting life, that I am able to share in my teaching and interacting with students. I have taught all elementary grade subjects, and am best at Reading, Writing, Science, Social Studies, and Art. Last year I taught a Writing class after school.My students showed a remarkable improvement in their writing and made me very pleased and proud.
Teaching Style
I have a policy with my students, which I call the three L's: Look, Listen, and Learn. When I teach, I expect them to learn, and I therefore have to make it interesting enough for them to want to do just that. "A mind is a terrible thing to waste." Children's minds are like sponges,and one has to make sure the information is good. I try to educate in a way that will help them to read, relate, and realize. I want to be the teacher my students want to remember!
