Experience Summary
I have taught elementary through high school special education as well as regular education course loads. I have experience in alternative school settings, juvenile justice, and public school, as well as GED prep work. I regularly integrate technology into instruction and attend professional development opportunities when they are provided.
Teaching Style
I believe instructors should be fair and knowledgeable in order to be effective educators. I believe allowing students to have some flexibility and leadership in their own learning makes a more enthusiastic and motivated student. I believe instruction should be purposeful, meaningful, and appropriate for what each student is required and capable of attaining. I also use assessments (formal and informal) to measure and adjust learning goals for all students regularly.
