Experience Summary
When I graduated from college, I was not able to get a teaching job in Jacksonville, where I moved, so I entered a long career in sales. While working at Bellsouth Advertising & Publishing for 12 years, I was an outside sales leader, an inside sales manager, director of the marketing department, and a customer service representative. I left Bellsouth when I gave birth to my daughter, but also opened my own business, a wholesale fashion jewelry business. I ran this and also worked with a friend of mine in this business for many years. I homeschooled my daughter for two years, and most recently tutored in inner city schools for three years. I now volunteer as a tutor at an inner city housing project.
Teaching Style
My style is to focus on what children do not know and try to explain and teach in several different ways until they "get it". I am very nurturing and positive in my approach to all children, but yet firm enough to maintain control so that teaching is possible.
