Experience Summary
As a graduate student, I have had to push myself to absorb all the material possible in a relatively short period of time. In order to achieve this, my colleagues and I work in groups, making use of the diversity of our strengths to improve the entire group's work. I teach my colleagues the material that I know well, while learning from them the material they know well. In addition to this experience, I have also been a Teaching Assistant for two college courses and tutored undergraduate students for two years.
Teaching Style
I love bringing my passion for learning to others. Watching a student who has been struggling finally realize the intuition behind the material, when his/her face lights up with that realization really makes my day. I find this particularly satisfying with mathematics; for I believe that everyone has the ability to learn and understand all levels of math. Even though many students find this subject difficult and abstract, I believe that with hard work and perseverance, anyone can master mathematics. I like helping students to realize that and to see the beauty in the simple logic and precise answers of mathematics.
