Experience Summary
As a student from Roger Williams university my goal was to excel at research. While attending the University, I was involved with various research projects, normal course work and tutoring. I was able to grasp concepts and understand theorems in a way that I could teach them to other students. With that knowledge I was able to further understand the educational side of learning. In addition, I have obtained excellent grammatical skills based on grant proposals and research papers being submitted for review. All this has prepared me to help others learn. I have tutored students in Organic chemistry 1 and 2, Physics 1 and 2, Marine zoology and ecology. Science in general is my strong suit.
Teaching Style
I love to work with children with a thirst for knowledge. I believe all children have the ability to learn anything, when taught in the correct manner. My involvement is merely to serve a a guide and coach directing the child to new avenues of thought. My goal is to provide a path that the child can follow and nurture them on that path until their goals are met. I firmly believe that with the right tools and a little time, your child can grow and learn to their utmost potential. My methods work extremely well while fostering further development of knowledge that I can only be described as continuing learning. Working closely with students in a laboratory setting was an exciting experience for me. I was able to talk with students individually, in order to access the strengths and weaknesses. This allowed me to be better prepared to delegate responsibilities in the lab. I truly think that a great educator is a key figure in a child's learning process in and out of school. I have always been someone that takes pride in caring and fostering a child's learning experience.
