Experience Summary
I have always been driven to achieve scholastic excellence, and I enjoy the process of learning new things. I graduated with Distinction from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with Bachelor's degree in Biology. I was on the Dean's list five semesters and was awarded several merit-based academic scholarships. I served as an Americorps education volunteer for one year where I tutored many students in various subjects. I also took numerous A.P. courses in high school and gained 9 hours of college course credit from scoring well on the A.P. exams.
Teaching Style
I enjoy learning and like to help others find the same joy of discovery. The skills that I have that enable me to do this are patience, kindness, and the ability to both communicate and listen. I good teacher can be a very positive, motivating force in a child's life.
