Experience Summary
I’ve been working with children my whole life. Since I was younger, I was always the neighborhood babysitter and the summer time camp counselor. I have a natural ability to enhance the lives of young children.
I graduated with my Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education in May of 2004. I also hold an E.S.O.L endorsement from St. Petersburg College of Education. My first teaching job was an E.S.O.L. position in January of 2006. The next school year, I became a First Grade teacher in Pinellas County. In 2007, I moved to Louisiana and taught Third Grade.
During my teaching experience, I also tutored for a variety of companies. I have experience tutoring students in math, reading, writing, and spelling. I also taught adult education at night as a GED teacher. Overall, I would have to say that I have enough experience to become a qualified tutor for your company.
Teaching Style
Throughout my teaching experiences, I am confident that I gained the knowledge to have a positive impact on children. I consistently monitored the strengths and weaknesses of each student which allowed me to adapt my teaching methods to benefit their individual needs. I believe it is my primary duty to establish a safe, comfortable, and positive learning environment for children. By establishing high expectations and creating successful classroom management techniques, I will be an effective teacher.
My goal is to encourage and motivate students to reach their fullest potential. I value the importance of establishing a solid communication base and relationship with the parents of the students. I am a trustworthy, easygoing, energetic and well-rounded individual. I foresee myself establishing a cooperative relationship with teachers, parents, students and other members of the learning community. My determination will help me sustain a cheerful and enthusiastic attitude throughout the course of the school year.
