Experience Summary
While I graduated Summa Cum Laude with the bulk of my courses in French, History, Psychology, and Classical Studies, my tutoring experience varies over a range of subjects including French, reading, grammar, math, science, history, and study skills. I have over 10 years experience tutoring, both formally and informally, from the kindergarten to college level in both private and group settings. My experience also includes work as an SES tutor
Teaching Style
I am dedicated to being individualized and believe that my greatest asset as a tutor is an ability to adapt to different thinking styles and situations, often on the spur of the moment. All of my tutorees have learned to trust that I will come up with a way that he/she can understand the subject material. I believe that unraveling the way a student conceptualizes is key. When it comes to a skill, I like to start as basic as possible, then move on to more complex examples, and finally teach how to recognize and apply the skill in context.
