Experience Summary
I have taught preschool education 2-4 years old. While I have not worked with school age students I have taken several college courses on elementary education and volunteered in several different grade school classes. Along with these experiences I have a bachelors degree in Human development which would help me understand the level of comprehension and ways to communicate concrete and complex ideas to children.
Teaching Style
I believe that tutoring is a great way to assist teachers. The reason I say this is because teachers often have many children in their classes and as a tutor I would be able to work one on one with a child who might need a little extra attention. I also thing that when children are given a chance to grasp difficult ideas they gain self confidence and become encouraged to persevere. I also believe that children can learn to love learning, and a child who is given the chance to be encouraged in their learning they will develop a love to the act of learning and therefore become life long learners. I believe in the ability of children and look forward to working with them in a way that will give them confidence and encouragement to work hard and succeed in school.
