Experience Summary
As a newlywed and young mother, I decided to pursue an education degree at the University of Florida. I maintained a 3.85 grade point average. While at the University, I discovered a passion for helping children reach their educational goals. I have spent the last seven years instructing my children. I have also been involved in Supplement Educational Services. I currently qualify for certificates in special education (k-12) and elementary education (k-6).
Teaching Style
I believe that all children are special and have unique learning needs. There is nothing better than watching a child have an "ah-ha!" moment. Sometimes a child (or an adult!) needs a little help to make that connection though. I enjoy the challenge of finding what works for each child. I am a creative individual and take the time to research and experiment with different teaching methods. I believe in positive reinforcement and in putting the student in a position to succeed. In my experience, teaching has been a privilege and a joy!
