Experience Summary
I began my teaching career while obtaining my Master's degree at the U of Iowa. I taught the entry Business Administration course as part of my graduate program. This included grading, testing, actvities, and coaching students. Once employed in the corporate world, I continued teaching within my corporate position, as well as in adult education settings with Indiana Wesleyan, Univesity of Indianapolis, and Indiana Tech. I expanded my role from adjunct faculty to part-time consultant by helping them development their Information Technology program. Additionally, I continued as a Junior Achievement consultant for 7th grade math courses, and Kindercare instruction to children ages 3-8 on computer skills and general learning. I am a life long learner and teacher.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is very similar regardless of audience: get them involved. I use creative exercises, current events, and varied instruction styles to keep the learning environment dynamic. My experience has taught me that learning is more about facilitating and fostering a positive environment than it is about memorizing facts.
