Experience Summary
I am a graduate of Hamilton College, one of the top liberal arts institutions in the United States. I have a bachelor degree in history with a focus on American colonial and British imperial history which has honed both my critical reading and writing skills. In addition, I am 18 credits shy of completing graduate degrees in both business administration and sports administration. In the past I have worked with children as both a sports coach, and as an instructor for various "summer camps."
Teaching Style
I really enjoy seeing people learn new things. It has been my experience that when someone struggles to learn a new subject, the best method is to relate the subject in question to something more familiar. Patience and persistence are two very powerful tools. I believe in tutoring because it forces active participation. Once a pupil feels they can participate without fear, they can and will learn more effectively.
