Experience Summary
Most of my experience has been in business and industry. As a manager for Chesebrough-Pond’s, I was the lead instructor for supervisory skills. I also hold a patent for a medical device. I read, write and speak both French and Spanish fluently. I have also gained a great deal of experience in other verbal skills as a result of being a free-lance writer of non-fiction. My work has appeared in such publications as: Canoe and Kayak Magazine, Florida Living, The New York Times Regional Newspapers Outdoor Magazine,Golden Lifestyles Magazine, as well as others.
I have spent the last two years as a volunteer in the local ESOL program where I have learned the art of teaching and tutoring in all subjects: basic grammar to math and science.
Teaching Style
I love children, having raised three of my own. With patience, kind words and, above all, positive reinforcement, any child can learn.I also believe that a kind and mature voice can go along way to enhance the learning experince.
I have been fortunate to have been trained by some of the most dedicated, hardworking and caring teachers available and it is my goal to provide your child with the same quality of education.
