Experience Summary
I achieved a master's degree in communicative disorders to become a speech language pathologist. During my educational career, I have had the opportunity to conduct therapy with children with varying needs, including problem solving, pragmatics, memory, expressive language and appropriate question responses. I obtained extensive grammatical skills due to writing research papers and language analysis that is used in diagnosis of speech related disorders. I have also taught at the middle school level for phonetical transcription and ASL. I have tutored students in reading, english, math, and science.
Teaching Style
My experience as a graduate teaching associate and middle school elective teacher has given me the opportunity to touch the lives of many children and adults. I believe that anyone can achieve their goals when supported along the way. Being a visual learner myself, I firmly believe in the concept that we all learn in different ways. I feel that I can provide a multi-sensory approach to learning which will make learning fun. It is my hope to become one of the teachers that I have admired throughout my academic career.
