Experience Summary
I pursued higher education to the Ph.D. level, most of my experience is based in research but I had the great pleasure of working with students privately and in the University environment. As a private tutor I taught Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology to high school students, helping them to succeed in their studies. In the university environment, I was in charge of training undergraduate and graduate students in the required laboratory skills, teaching them also the basic concepts of Biology and Chemistry needed to perform the protocols. I have presented my research in the form of papers and oral presentations to journals and scientific meetings, which has led to the further development of my communicational skills in written and oral form.
Teaching Style
In my experience tutoring and training students, the most rewarding moments are those in which understanding of a subject becomes a reality. I work hard at trying to find those moments with my students, explaining the subject through different approaches and providing diverse examples to face abstract concepts. I believe in rewarding the effort of the students, establishing a constructive relationship in which the student is not scared of admitting lack of knowledge, encouraging the student to ask questions, developing an inquisitive reasoning. An inquisitive and reasoning mind will provide the student with the tools needed to face any struggle in his instruction.
