Experience Summary
I am eligible to be a certified K-6 teacher and I possess a degree in early childhood and elementary education. Furthermore, I have completed 20 credits toward a Master of Arts in Psychological Foundations of Reading and Learning Disabilities at New York University. Job experiences and training render me a worthy tutor/teacher. These include: Elementary Librarian, First Grade, Third Grade, Preschool (all ages and Montessori), Gymnastics and tutoring: Middle School Math, Reading, Writing, beginner Hebrew, Emergent Literacy, Spanish.
Teaching Style
I am highly proficient in and enjoy teaching, as I aim to instill the love of learning. I am eager to advocate literacy through interactive writing and reading and help youngsters develop true self-esteem. I strive to promote active learning in a meaningful context. My goals are for students to experience success and to become independent thinkers and learners. I employ effective strategies and tools to accomodate students with all learning styles, which increase achievement.
I am resourceful and creative. I clearly convey directions and information to children. In addition, I am patient, firm, fair and consistent. My energy translates into motivated and active learners, and they see that I respect them.
