Experience Summary
After I graduated from UM I interned to become an Architect but didn't like it as much as the study of it. Because of the extensive Math involved and my love of the subject, I decided to become a Math teacher. I worked for 9 years at the Middle School level and this is my second year working at the High School level. I have tutored students on and off for the past 3 years.
Teaching Style
I love working with Middle School and High School students. I believe all students can learn Math, no matter how much difficulty they've had in the past. I first assess where they are at and where their particular difficulty is. Usually the difficulty has to do with basics that they forgot or never understood in the first place. I work on this first before moving on to more difficult concepts. I have had much success with this approach. I always try to make the students feel that they CAN do it, no matter what.
