Experience Summary
As an honors graduate, I have always been driven to excellence in anything I set my mind to. I have earned a BS degree in Business Finance, with emphasis in Accounting. My diverse educational background has led me to experience college education at three different colleges and universities, traveling to Hong Kong while in cultural exchange program, as well as two different high schools. I have lived in seven different locations, which has also led to my confidence, and extraverted personality that assists me most with teaching others. I strive to understand things in order to teach them, and have had education and experience in teaching a wide range of ages, from children to secondary education. While in college, I was a volunteer tutor in my area of major, finance, as well as many other math and science related subjects. I am comfortable meeting new people, and confident in teaching others with patience and clarity.
Teaching Style
I absolutely love teaching and working with children and youth from all different backgrounds. I find a very healthy satisfaction in learning and then turning around to teach someone what I have learned. I tend to be a visual learner and teach others in the same way, although I try to adjust my teaching style to meet the student audience. If they are more tactile or kinesthetic, I will adjust so that they will learn at their pace. I enjoy discovery, and encourage others to discover and explore in order to learn new things. Math and science can excite the imagination to take off and grow in knowledge, if given the right environment of consideration, patience, and understanding.
