Experience Summary
I have earned a BA in political science, and I will finish my PhD in May 2006. Through my graduate work, I have developed very strong math and writing skills that would enable me to be a very effective tutor for students in both math and reading. I have also worked with students to improve their writing style in the classes that I have taught, teaching them basic grammar and essay organization.
Teaching Style
My goal in the classroom is to find a way to make my students relate to the material. I want my students to care enough to ask questions and work hard to understand the material. I enjoy teaching very much. I believe that it is an opportunity to teach my students that they can do anything that they want to do in their lives. I know that I have made a difference in the lives of my students, because they have told me that I changed the way that they see the world.
