Experience Summary
Over the past nineteen years I have worked in the human service field which has provided me the opportunity to teach and provide training in a variety of settings. I specialize in working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Throughout my professional career I was afforded the opportunity to work with the Deaf community and supervise Deaf staff. I recently relocated to Florida and I plan to continue my Interpreting studies and become a certified Interpreter. I feel that I would make a positve contribution to Advanced Learners.
Teaching Style
My entire professional career has been in the human services and training field. I believe that everyone is capable of learning and that it is incumbent upon the instructor to reach the individual and make learning a successful and fun experience. I beleive in an outcome oriented individualized approach to learning, where each child possesses stregnths and needs that must be identified and nurtured. I have worked with developmentally disabled and deaf/blind individuals for many years and I have personally made and witnessed remarkable progress with individuals through teaching and training.
