Teaching Style
I love to teach and want to make a different in all of my student's lives. I am a good listener and good communicator. I feel it is very important to listen to all your students. I believe in teaching all my students by strategies that are best for each individual student. Most of my students learn best visually. The objective in the classroom is to provide an environment in which the student is encouraged to learn and to achieve experience, growth, and development. A positive self-concept should be instilled in each student as he/she acquires career and technical knowledge. An important role of the teacher is to teach academic, personal, and social responsibility so students may realize that they can be positive contributors to the school, community and nation. A classroom discipline plan should be in place from the beginning of the school year to encourage desired behaviors. My educational, personal and work experiences have helped me develop sharp skills in the area of education that I am sure will be an asset to the school district. I have been an excellent teacher because I enjoy hard work and helping others find success. I have worked hard to be knowledgeable in my field and to positively affect my students. My students must experience meaningful, interesting learning activities that they will be able to apply to their daily lives. I believe this can be accomplished through the use of hands-on/minds-on activities, cooperative learning, an integrated curriculum and, when possible, technology and the Internet.
